What is an ETF?

Modified on Wed, 7 May at 4:08 PM

Exchange-Traded-Funds, also known under the acronym ETFs, are like Mutual Funds however they are traded directly on a stock exchange like regular stocks and, as a result, are considered to be a cost-attractive investment alternative for investors looking for diversification.

ETFs allow investors significantly faster entries and exits into the fund without having to go through the subscription process like with traditional Mutual Funds. The vast variety of ETFs also allows investors opportunities to invest in a diverse array of asset classes throughout multiple industries.
