What authentication options can I use on the Moneybase desktop version?

Modified on Wed, 7 May at 4:08 PM

Access to your Moneybase account is protected by 2 Factor Authentication to help prevent identity theft as well as data loss. This means that, after entering your 4-digit passcode, you should also input the six-digit code sent to you via SMS on your registered mobile device.

Clients using the Moneybase web browser version have the additional option of changing the primary method of receiving the 6-digit code via SMS to a recognised authenticator app. To do this, simply log in at https://live.moneybase.com/, go to the settings icon located in the top right corner, and click on 2FA Login Settings. Here, you can switch the Primary Verification Method to an Authenticator App of your preference like for example Microsoft or Google Authenticators.

Should you wish to switch back to the SMS method, you can follow the same procedure and select SMS-Mobile phone as the primary verification method.
