Why can I only sell my stock and not buy more of it?

Modified on Wed, 7 May at 4:08 PM

In certain cases, we might be required to restrict the possibility of buying new shares of a stock whilst retaining the ability to hold or sell the ones you have bought in the past.

The reasons a stock would be classified as such typically include:

  • Corporate actions
  • Stocks trading OTC/being priced extremely low
  • Stocks facing impending delisting from exchanges
  • Operational limitations
