What is a Cash Fund?

Modified on Thu, 21 May at 7:37 AM

Cash Fund, also known as a Money Market Fund, is an investment fund designed to offer high liquidity with a very low level of risk. It gives investors a simple and convenient way to access potentially higher yields on cash instruments.

Cash Funds typically invest in highly liquid, short-term instruments such as cash, cash equivalents, and investment-grade debt securities with short-term maturities. They are commonly used to temporarily hold money before investing elsewhere or ahead of planned cash outflows.

You earn interest daily, with no entry or exit fees. Interest earned is automatically reinvested into the fund and compounded daily.

We offer Cash Funds managed by UBS in EUR, GBP, and USD, with a minimum investment of EUR 10, or the currency equivalent. You can withdraw your funds at any time, free of charge.

Cash Fund orders submitted before 10:30 am on weekdays when the market is open are processed on the same trading day. Orders submitted after this cut-off time, or on non-trading days, will be submitted on the next trading day.

Money entrusted with Calamatta Cuschieri is covered by the Maltese Investor Compensation Scheme, and all interest earned is passed on to you.
