What is a Limited Partnership?

Modified on Wed, 7 May at 4:08 PM

Limited Partnerships are specific US investment vehicles with at least one general partner and at least one limited partner.

They are often used for specific purposes such as real estate or venture capital investments.

The most common type of limited partnership is the Publicly Traded Partnership (PTP). PTPs can normally be traded on stock exchanges like any other security, however may come with higher trading taxes associated with them.
